FAQ

Do you post jobs on campus?

All of our job opportunities are posted on-line at our website. For full-time/new grad opportunities, please click on the location where you would like to work. For co-op/internship opportunities, please click on Campus Recruitment. Some schools may require you to apply through your co-op/internship office in addition to directly on RIM's website. Please check to ensure you are following your school's process.

When do you recruit for student positions?

Co-op/Internship opportunities are posted during September, January and May. Check back often to view new opportunities or to set up your profile to receive notifications when a job matching your skills and interests becomes available.

At what locations are the student jobs located?

RIM offers student positions in all our Canadian locations, including Waterloo, Mississauga, Halifax, Ottawa, Redwood City, CA, Issaquah (Seattle), WA and Irving (Dallas), TX.

Are you participating at on-campus events?

Please visit our Campus Career Events page to see when we're coming to your campus!

Do you have to be in a registered co-op/internship program to be hired for a student position?

No, though we prefer to hire candidates through a registered co-op/internship program, we will consider students not registered in formal programs. However, you must be returning to full time studies upon completion of your term with RIM.

How many students does RIM hire each semester?

RIM hires approximately 300-400 students each term.

Should I mail my hard-copy resume or email my soft-copy resume to you?

We have developed an on-line application system to upload your profile and Word-based resume. Our system will allow you to update your profile and resume as your skills and qualifications change, as well as notify you of positions that come available and that match your interests.

Does RIM help students relocate if they are hired, or must students take care of this themselves?

RIM will provide relocation assistance to those students who are required to relocate outside of the state/province of their school for a work term with RIM.

Are there any student programs that RIM offers to Co-ops/Interns?

The RCSC (RIM Co-op Social Committee) seeks to promote social balance and interaction among the large number of students employed at RIM every work term. This initiative creates a fun and exciting atmosphere both inside and outside of work. All students working at RIM are encouraged to take part! Additionally, RIM offers multiple events/sports teams for employees to join and takes part in community events such as Dragon Boat Races.
